O God,
Help me to hear voices of tough love.
Voices calling me to follow you.
Voices that remind me of the love and compassion you call me to.
Voices that pull me to look at my actions and match them with my commitments to you and the world around me.
Help me to hear voices that tell me the truth about my choices.
Even when it is hard.
Even when I don’t want to hear them.
Help me to realize how voices of tough love help me to see you.
