In the summer of 2019 I went to Corolla, NC with my husband, our four kids and my husband’s family. It was quite a trip with his parents, brothers and their families, an aunt and a family friend along. The beach was warm, with a lot of sand castle-building, burying one another, playing in the waves and sitting to read books in the sun. The late afternoons and evenings were full of laughter, good food, games, time at the pool and enjoying the company of family and friends. The parts of this trip that I love most are the smiles, love and laughter shared. One of the mementos that our kids and their cousins brought home were T-shirts made with each cousins’ handprint or footprint to remember their time together and our kids still wear their shirts with smiles.
God is certainly present throughout each day, but I was truly reminded of God’s beauty in the impeccable sunsets and sunrises experienced. While I certainly missed not being able to go to the beach this year, I appreciate the memories and the pictures and videos I have to remember the times and look forward to when we can enjoy a beach vacation with our family and friends again.
Peace,
