God of wind and fire,
As we remember Pentecost,
Fill me with your spirit and help me to understand and speak in languages I do not know.
Give me compassion and mercy that opens my mind and my heart to new understanding.
Help me learn from others, especially those who are different from me.
Show me how their reality must shape my understanding of the world.
Use me to live your great deeds of love and transformation.
As we live through pandemic and racial unrest,
