O God,
Following you is hard.
Loving people when they are unlovable demands so much patience and generosity.
Forgiving when I’ve been wronged is often a long, slow process.
Seeking justice requires a selflessness I don’t always feel.
Compassion can be exhausting.
And yet, you embrace me in your love and healing.
You surround me with compassion and generosity.
You fill me with your priorities and your hope.
You empower me to live in ways that change me and change the world.
Help me to keep following you.
