God of all,
Help me to learn from the story of the Cannanite woman.
Give me the courage to call for mercy and help for the people and causes I care about.
Help me to push back and keep asking when my pleas are ignored or refused.
Make me like the woman from Cana.
Light a fire in my heart for the pain of others.
Make me insistent on behalf of those in need.
Make me relentless in my calls for care, mercy and justice.
Remind me that your love, your mercy, your grace extend to us all.
Teach me to be respectful and sassy at the same time.
Empower me with words to banter for mercy and for healing.
Show me that even the crumbs that fall from your table are more than enough.
