Spend the weekend in our nation’s capital exploring what it means to have important ideas about how the country is run and be a person of faith. We’ll meet with staff from the ELCA Advocacy Office and learn about the intersection of public policy and faith. There will be time to explore DC a bit, and talk with locals who are finding ways to live out their faith. And if we are lucky, we’ll be able to meet up with some PSU alumni and hear from them, too!
We will plan to leave State College after classes on Friday, October 11. We’ll stay at the Steinbruck Center at Luther Place Memorial Church and hear about their work in their neighborhood and beyond. We’ll connect with the staff and congregation members of Lutheran Church of the Reformation near the Capital and share worship there.
Just $15 per person. Included is transportation, parking, breakfast and dinner on Saturday, breakfast Sunday, and housing.
