Change in plans!
As of Monday, September 18th, the trip to Philly is changing into a local service opportunity! On Friday, September 22, we’ll have dinner with the residents of the Hearts for the Homeless long-term shelter in Bellefonte, learn about the issue of housing insecurity in our area, and spend some time helping with needs in their new building! We are still going to meet at Abba Java at 5:30 pm, so just email Alicia (ara2@psu.edu) if you want to help!
We are sorry Philly didn’t work out for this weekend, but are hopeful that you will join us for Friday!
Join Lutheran Campus Ministry at Penn State, Westminster Presbyterian Fellowship, Wesley PSU, and 3rd Way Collective for a collaborative service and learning trip to Philadelphia on Friday, September 22 – Saturday, September 23, 2017!
We will stay at the Philadelphia campus of United Lutheran Seminary, spend time volunteering with Kingdom Builders Construction Inc. on a local project, and explore and eat at Reading Terminal Market before coming back to State College.
Plan on leaving late afternoon Friday, September 22 (from Abba Java Coffee House) and returning Saturday evening.
