God of compassion,
My world is sometimes too small.
My heart is sometimes too small.
I fail to see the people around me, their sorrows, their struggles, their fears.
I fail to realize that there are ways I could bring help that they need.
I fail to remember that these people that surround me, they belong to me.
Expand my world.
Expand my heart.
Draw me to notice the people around me.
Open my mind and my heart to their sorrows, their struggles, their fears.
Open my mind and my heart to their joys, their triumphs, their hopes.
Help me to see that we are all your beloved children.
Remind me that we belong to each other.
