Sunday, January 20, 2019 and the big snow

As the weather forecasts continue to talk of up to 16 inches of snow (and maybe some ice) here in Central PA, we want to let you know about plans and programs with Lutheran Campus Ministry for Sunday, January 20th, 2019.

Sunday morning worship services at Grace Lutheran Church will be held at 8 am, 9 am and 10:30 am as usual.  Those of you who live on campus can watch for Pastor Scott Schul making his way across campus early Sunday morning – skis or snowshoes may be in use!

Grace’s Adult choir (which you should consider joining if you aren’t already part) will not be singing at 10:30 am.  There will be plenty of music despite their absence.

Our usual Student Lunch at 11:30 am will be changed, but if you are there and hungry after worship, we’ll be sure to feed you!   Unless Alicia Anderson isn’t able to make it in from Lemont.  If that’s the case, she will post on our Facebook page (which you should visit and “like”).

Sunday Evening Worship at 6 pm will be held.  Predictions suggest that the worst will be over by then, and that roads should be passable.  And there will be dinner after worship.

Be safe. Be smart.

Enjoy a snowball fight or build a snowman. Wear layers. Stay off the roads. This looks like it will be a snowstorm we’ll be talking about for years!
