Alternative Spring Break 2017 Washington, DC – March 4 – 11

We just heard that our funding request for this year’s Alternative Spring Break has been approved!!

So, I am encouraging you to make plans to join our Alternative Spring Break to DC this March!

It promises to be an interesting and engaging time that mixes service, learning, exploration and community.  This trip is a cooperative project for Lutheran Student Community, Wesley PSU, Westminster Presbyterian Fellowship and 3rd Way Collective.

Your contribution is just $50.00 for transportation, housing, program and most meals.  It doesn’t get better than that!

We will leave Saturday, March 4 and return Sunday, March 11.  We are staying at and working through the Steinbruck Center which is a community service agency and hostel with deep connections in the DC community.

They are arranging a variety of places for us to serve and to learn. Issues we’ll get to explore include homelessness, race, changing communities, advocacy and more. We will have the opportunity for some free time in Washington, and have tickets to visit the newly opened African-American History Museum.

If we fill all our spots, there will be 15 students and three staff (Alicia, Jen Grundler from Wesley PSU, Ben Wideman from 3rd Way Collective)

Here is the link to sign up!

If you have questions, just email me ara2@psu.edu or give me a call (814.360.0601).

Please make your decision 31 January!

Give it some thought!
It will be a great week!
