Amazing. Surprising. Transforming. Unreasonable

God is present in the world.

One part of the remarkable message of Christmas centers on this surprising notion.

God, who could stay far away from the mess and trouble in this world, chooses to join us.

God’s love for us is so great, God comes here.

Amazing. Surprising. Transforming. Unreasonable.

May this season of unreasonable love touch your heart and your spirit.

May you be transformed.

In case you haven’t seen it, take a look at this version of the Christmas story.

It’s brilliant.

Blessings to you who are still taking exams and working toward deadlines.

Blessings to you who are finished with this semester.

Have a wonderful break, a Merry, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Peace, my friends!

Prayer

God of Advent and Christmas,

You came to earth, despite the challenges and troubles here.

You come to earth, and walk with us through the challenges we face.

You come to earth, through the love, compassion, forgiveness and care that we share.

As Advent progresses, remind us of your light in the darkest parts of our lives.

As Christmas comes, help us to see the power and might of a God who comes as a tiny baby.

Transform us and the world with your love and your surprises. Amen.
