Imagine yourself in the world!

Have you ever thought about living and working in another part of the world?

Hear more about a program that places young adults in communities across the globe for a year and supports them as they serve the needs of the people with whom they work and live.  Sarah Delap just finished a year with Young Adults in Global Mission and will be with us on Thursday, November 1st at worship and dinner to share her experiences and fill you in on what may be the most amazing year of your life!  Come hear more!  If you would like to meet with Sarah before worship, email lutheran@psu.edu to set up conversation.

A Note From Sarah (pictured at right):

Hey y’all!  I am Sarah Delap and I am a Short-Term Recruiter for ELCA Global Mission.  In late July I returned from a year of service in the United Kingdom.  I was able to have this experience through the program Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM).  Every year YAGM sends volunteers, age 19-29, to nine different countries.  These countries are Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Malaysia, South Africa, Madagascar, Jerusalem/West Bank, Hungary, and the UK.

We all have a passion to change the world but YAGM gives you the opportunity to simultaneously be changed by the world.  YAGM is so much more than a “trip” or a study abroad; it is a year of living in community with a new culture, new family, and new friends, and accompanying those where you are placed in their journey.

I look forward to visiting your campus and having a chance to discuss YAGM and other opportunities of global mission through the ELCA.

Take a second…
