As people of faith, we join together in offering our joys and concerns to God. Some things to pray about this week:
People and communities affected by the economic challenges worldwide. We pray for the nations and individuals whose finances are in peril. May government and economic leaders provide wise leadership. May people who are struggling financially find ways to manage their resources and their needs. May all people make wise decisions with our own resources of money, time and abilities.
Students preparing for exams and assignments. We pray for courage, perserverence and peace in the face of deadlines. May those who study use their time wisely, and prepare well. May they effectively share what they have learned. May those who write and grade exams and assignments evaluate fairly and consistently.
Those who help to provide the food we eat. We pray for people who grow food, produce food products, transport food and sell food. May harvests be plentiful and good. May all workers be safe, healthy and productive; people working in the fields and on farms, people who manufacture or package food items, people who transport our food, people who sell food in stores, markets and restaurants.
